INKA JUNGLE TREK MACHUPICCHU 3D/2N – WAYNAPICCHU
Day 1 Biking: CUSCO – BIKING TOUR – SANTA TERESA – THERMAL BATHS
Transfer from your hotel at 7:40 am and we will travel by private tourist bus for 3 hours to Abra Málaga (4300 m above sea level). We will make a brief stop to appreciate the landscape and snow-capped mountains, then begin our downhill mountain bike descent for approximately 3.5 hours. Along the way, we will see a small archaeological complex, Huamanmarca, and experience the changing climate of the cloud forest. We will see plantations of coca, coffee, and exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, and papaya, which you can pick and enjoy.
Arrival at the town of Santa María, where we will have a 2-hour rafting trip downriver on levels II and III. Afterward, we will take a 1-hour transport to Santa Teresa, where we will spend the night in a hostel. You will have the option to visit the Cocalmayo thermal baths.
Day 2 Trek: INCA TRAIL – SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES
After an early breakfast, we have the option to take the zipline adventure tour. Later, following the guide’s instructions, we begin our approximately 2-hour hike to the hydroelectric plant.
From the hydroelectric plant, we will hike for 3 hours, covering 10 km, until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). Along the way, you can see a variety of insects and walk along the riverbanks and next to the train tracks. In this area, the scenery is breathtaking, and in the distance, you can see the Putucusi and San Miguel mountains, enormous peaks that surround the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Finally, we arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes for dinner. Our guide will provide detailed information about our Machu Picchu tour. Overnight stay in a hotel with a private bathroom in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
Day 3 of the trek: MACHU PICCHU – WAYNA PICCHU – CUSCO
This day we will wake up very early at 4:30 am and begin with a 1.5-hour hike, arriving at Machu Picchu at 6:00 am. You can then enjoy the sunrise. You will have a 3-hour guided tour of the main areas of Machu Picchu, followed by a visit to Wayna Picchu (reservations required in advance). Afterward, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu.
At the time indicated by your guide, you will take the train to Ollantaytambo, and from there we will pick you up by bus, arriving in Cusco at approximately [time missing in original text]. In 4 hours
